　　提到总分，我们都很熟悉，在写英语作文时，我们最常用的一种结构就是总分结构。比如要说某件事情产生的原因，我们通常会说：This phenomenon is caused by the following reasons: Firstly ...Secondly...Thirdly...。这就是一种典型的总分。此外，在考研英语中，最常出现的文章类型是议论文，而议论文一个明显的特点是论点论据鲜明，而论点论据之间同样也是总分的关系。总而言之，总分关系是从抽象到具体，或者说从概括到例子的过程。而抽象和具体，概括和例子之间应该保持一致性，即所提出的论点和论据之间应该保持一致。

　　总分关系的连接词包括两个方向，一是从总到分，常用的连接词包括for example for instance such as like 二是从分到总，常用的连接词包括generallyin generalin conclusionsum upall in allin briefon the whole。

　　在完型中，总分关系的考查主要有两种：
